RHINOPLASTY (NOSE JOB)

The nose sits in the center of a face, even the slightest asymmetry or imperfection can become apparent. The ultimate goal of nose surgery is to improve both form and function which often goes hand in hand. Septoplasty (straightening of the septum, the divider of your left and right nose, to help you breathe better) is often performed with cosmetic rhinoplasty. Dr. Olcott’s expertise in nasal anatomy and function from her extensive training in Ear, Nose & Throat surgery along with facial plastic surgery allows her to deliver results of a better looking nose without sacrificing function. It is also important to create a natural-looking nose that fits your face. Dr. Olcott provides comprehensive analysis of your nose and face by involving you in the decision making to help you achieve the results that you want yet without it being overdone.

BLEPHAROPLASTY (EYE LIFT)

Eyelid surgery is commonly performed to reduce laxity of the eyelid skin and protruding fat of both upper and lower eyelids which cause the droopy and puffy look of the eyes. The upper third of the face is the first to descend in an aging face, resulting in an overall tired, worn-out look. This can also happen in younger patients due to genetics or other congenital issues. Blepharoplasty can give you the rejuvenated look with minimal recovery and maybe combined with a brow lift if sagging brows are contributing to the problem.

CHIN AUGMENTATION

Many patients have never examined the shape of their chin closely. Some patients think there is extra fat in their neck while others think their nose sticks out too far without realizing their small chin is the problem. A small chin can easily be augmented with a chin implant which comes in different sizes and shapes to fit the individual. When you meet with Dr. Olcott, she will perform a comprehensive facial analysis and review your facial structure and anatomy with you to determine your personal need.

FACE LIFT

Neuromodulators and facial fillers are great start in treating wrinkles and minor sagging due to volume loss. Overtime, the aging skin continues to lose its elasticity where skin redundancy and laxity are beyond the benefits of non-surgical treatment. Facelift is the surgical procedure to target loose and excess skin. It is often combined with neck liposuction and platysmaplasty (tightening of the neck muscle) to give you a harmonious, youthful look. There are different styles of facelift and Dr. Olcott will address your need and give you the pros and cons of each during your consultation.   

BROW LIFT

Aging face begins in the upper third of our face. Hence, sagging brows and droopys lids are often the first signs. A brow lift can remarkably rejuvenate the upper face to give you the energized appearance. It is often combined with an upper lid blepharoplasty to achieve the best results. There are various techniques available for brow lift, Dr. Olcott will examine your face, eyes and hairline as well as discuss each technique with you at your consultation to ensure it is tailored to your needs.

OTOPLASTY (EAR-PINNING)

Prominent ears or so-called “Dumbo” ears are common and cause significant distress to patients. They often avoid wearing their hair up for girls and keep their hairstyle long for guys to cover up their ears. Prominent ears are due to the lack of a fold in the ear cartilage or part of the cartilage being too large. Such problems can be repaired with otoplasty by pinning the ears back with various techniques.

EAR LOBE REPAIR

Torn or misshapen ear lobes are resulting from years of heavy earrings use, ear gauging or trauma. This can be easily fixed during an in-office procedure under local anesthesia with special suturing technique. Occasionally, a hyaluronic acid filler can provide additional benefits to augment and reshape the ear lobes so you can wear your earrings again.

CHEEK AUGMENTATION

Most patients notice a loss in their facial volume as they age giving them a hollowed, deflated look. Facial fillers are great in providing the volume and gentle lift while diminishing minor folds below the volume loss. However, facial fillers aren’t permanent and as aging continues, bone loss commences. The additional volume loss from bone resorption can be augmented with cheek implants that come in different sizes and shapes. This is done via an incision inside the mouth where a silicone implant will be placed under the skin and over the cheek bone. LIP LIFT

A lip lift is perfect for someone who has a long and thin upper lip. A youthful lip is seen as short and full with part of the upper teeth exposed when the mouth is at rest. An incision is made along the base of your nose to shorten the upper lip skin. There may be a visible pink scar for a few months which will continue to improve over time.

NECK LIPOSUCTION

Neck liposuction is often performed with a face lift or chin augmentation. Isolated liposuction of the neck can also be performed if submental fullness is the only issue. During your consultation, Dr. Olcott will perform a full facial analysis to discuss your concerns and tailor the procedure to give you the most harmonious results.

FACIAL FAT GRAFTING

Facial fat grafting is procedure using your own fat to replace facial volume loss. It is believed that the stem cells within the harvested fat (from thighs or abdomen) play a huge role in rejuvenating the skin. In addition, fat grafting is considered as permanent though multiple treatment may be required to achieve the right volume and account for resorption. These factors make fat graft transfer a superior procedure to hyaluronic acid facial fillers.

FACIAL REANIMATION

Facial paralysis (asymmetric, droopy face) can result from Bell’s palsy, trauma or other conditions. There are many options when it comes to repairing the paralyzed face to recreate a symmetric facial expression. Dr. Olcott can give you a detailed analysis and discuss treatment options that will tailor your need.

HEMANGIOMAS & VASCULAR MALFORMATIONS (BIRTHMARKS)

That pink patch or red dot on your or your child’s face may be cute until they start growing in size and deeper in color. Hemangiomas and vascular malformations are vascular lesions that may or may not go away on their own depending on the actual pathology. Some of these lesions can be treated with medications if caught early on. Dr. Olcott worked with world-renown Dr. Milton Waner in treating vascular anomalies and can tailor a treatment plan for you.

SKIN CANCER REMOVAL & RECONSTRUCTION

Protecting your skin with a SPF 15 or above sunscreen daily will not only prevent premature aging from skin damage, but also the development of certain skin cancers. When skin cancer lesions are found, they have to be removed completely to prevent recurrence. Dr. Olcott’s specialty training in ENT-Head & Neck Surgery can remove your skin cancer lesion and close up the defect with the best aesthetic outcome by various meticulous surgical techniques.
